Entropy…

We are drowning in information, while starving for wisdom..

And Still I Rise.

As such, this year 2008 has been exceptionally difficult, personally and otherwise- the economic meltdown, planet in peril and terrorism. Feeling cynical & distressed. However one has to keep belief & hope alive, to cope..

“Hope: The following page. Do not close the book.
I have turned all the pages of the book without finding hope.
Perhaps hope is the book.”  -Edmond Jabès

Wishing my readers & friends warmth for the season and hope for the new year, also thanks for caring and sharing enriching thoughts.

And Still I Rise

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

That is one of favorite poems ever written by Maya … “And Still I Rise”!. Thanks so much for posting.

Interesting you may find … I had a dream the other night where someone (?) left a magical gold necklace on an old wooden dining table. I looked closer and attached to the chain was a oval pendant which read “HOPE”. I believe it was left for me. My sister was given the exact same necklace, too. I’m not sure who left those special necklaces, the sign of HOPE to us in my dream. Perhaps, the Designer of Dreams….God himself.

All the Very Best to you and your loved ones this 2009. And, if this is all we are given in the New Year–HOPE … may it be enough.

    Sonya Rose
