I have just read two paragraphs, and decided that it deserves several readings to comment.

This beautiful and rather simple sentence has solved so many complications i had for years of What is Literature

” It is what a person creates when he shuts himself up in a room, sits down at a table, and retires to a corner to express his thoughts – that is, the meaning of literature.”

That’s the hallmark of a great writer to put lofty and complex matter in a bewildering simplistic manner.
