The Moon Does Not Fight

Moonlight

“The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry.
It does not try to crush others.

It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences.
What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore?
The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.”

As so many, I am fascinated with the moon, this gentle companion rythming our life, with its friendly face, smiles, and blinking eyes .
    What a wonder.

How many hours spent looking at it, and wishing to sit there like Pierrot,
The moon lighting our path of life.

This is a thoughtful image Ajay.

    To share, below some Haikus

    ” Nine times arising

    to see the moon . . .

    whose solemn pace

    Marks only midnight yet”

    and

    ” Black cloudbank broken

    scatters in the

    night … Now see

    Moon-lighted mountains!”

    and

” Clouds come from time to time –

and bring to men a chance to rest

    from looking at the moon.”

or, very sad, and making my heart aching

    ” Poverty’s child –

he starts to grind the rice,

    and gazes at the moon.”
