The Paper Skin

Leica is certainly proud of their new creation. They used specially treated paper called ‘Constellation Jade’ made by Iconic Fedrigoni Papers that they claim is better than even the best leathers. It’s acetone resistant, abrasion resistant and can withstand temperatures between -40 and 158°F. The final product is placed in book-style packaging to complete the “brand experience” they’re going for. Feast your eyes:

As the “ears have eyes” was totally emotional for me,

this article about Fedrigoni Papers, is the cherry on top of the cake.

For the love of precious paper, for the love of precious photography

(when preparing and composing a photo was a matter of thinking
    and not clicking 100 times/second)

finally, one can seat down, touch with the eyes, and watch with the fingers.

I only hope that the owners of those 25, are able to understand all
the love behind, and not the money they spent.

This is not a question of owning something in a limited edition, but having a priceless object, as a rare, “unique edition of a “book of hours” of the XV° century for example..
